POSTgre SQL

PostgreSQL is an advanced, open-source, enterprise-class relational database that supports both SQL (relational) and JSON (non-relational) querying. It is a highly stable database management system backed by over 20 years of community development that has contributed to its high level of resilience, integrity, and correctness.

PostgreSQL is used as the primary data store or data warehouse for many web, mobile, geospatial, and analytics applications. The last major release is PostgreSQL 12. PostgreSQL has a rich history of supporting advanced data types and supports the level of performance optimization common to its commercial databases counterparts such as Oracle and SQL Server.

AWS supports PostgreSQL through a fully managed database service with Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS). Amazon Aurora compatibility with PostgreSQL is also built with PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL includes transactions with Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability (ACID), automatically updateable views, materialized views, triggers, foreign keys, and stored procedures.

It is designed to handle a wide range of workloads, from single machines to data warehouses or web services with many concurrent users. It is the default database for macros Server and is also available for Linux, FreeBSD, Opens, and Windows.
